Obligatory Resolution Post

2011 wasn't a great year for me, so I'm looking forward to hitting the reset button and trying again. My priorities include school and family, but I also want to flesh out my little home here. I know very few crafty people in real life and sincerely appreciate the feedback and support received by being a part of online sewing and knitting communities.

The Binks - obstructs any and all progress in the craft room.

I'm going to worry less about offending people, get more comfortable with writing, not sew things just because the blogosphere is going absolutely apeshit over them (those projects generally do not work out for me), sew with a plan (SWAP!), knit without constant frogging and over-analyzing...

This is getting out of hand. I'm going to sew and knit a lot, which should result in more successful FO's. That's it.

So happy holidays, happy new year and I'll be back in a few hours with a skirt.

  2. I'm totally on track with you. 2011 has been a year where I feel like I didn't actually sew very much, but I "talked" alot about it. My goal is to get at least, 2 pieces finished each month. Or maybe, as you say, just sew (sorry, I don't knit). Happy New Year to you too!

  3. Haha, love the sign ("Creative Minds Are Rarely Tidy")-- I sure hope that's true!

But yeah-- I hope 2012 brings you enough time to work on the projects you want to (and lots of knit-y sew-y success!)!

  4. Mardi - I love your blog! Thanks for stopping by.

Sunni - YES. See, I'm talking more than doing. Or doing unsuccessfully. Two pieces a month sounds completely reasonable. I really should have a quantitative goal in mind.

Ginger - It has to be true. Right?? Thanks a bunch. Same to you!

  6. I have to say it: your cat is totally freaking me out, man!!! And I wish I'd phrased it like you re: everyone going apeshit! That's a huge goal of mine, too. And now I'm wondering why the hell I signed up for the Sew Weekly challenge, when I said I was going to sew for myself. Blerg.
